Muslims beleive basically the same thing as Christians do when it comes to how humans came to be. Muslims thing God created Adam out of clay, and then breathed into him to make him alive. Later, Eve appeared out of Adam (something like that, at least)

Hope that helps! :)

I don't recall anything in the Qu'ran which says that interpretation of scripture must be made literally. That said; How about interpreting The male Adam and the female Eve as the decent into a dualistic existence from a monistic singularity?

While we're at it; How about the story of Cain and Abel as a descent into the delusion of an individualized "self"?

Not bad for an old hippy Buddhist, eh?!

Lets analyze it this way,

The Law of conservation of Energy says - " Energy can neither be created nor destroyed, it can only be transferred from one form into another".

Where did this energy come from? You may say from a previous form of energy, but then what about the previous one? This problem can only be put to rest if we believe in 'Creation'.

A logical answer is that there was nothing and then this finite amount of energy was created.

Similarly, there werent any human beings, and Almighty GOD created the first humans Adam and Eve.

After this, the creation of new humans has been related to physical factors that are required to create another human.

Remember ALmighty GOD is 'The ALL Powerful' to for HIM to create anything is not impossible.

Hmm. Probably some scientific "miracle" tucked away in the qur'an that science hasn't discovered...yet.
