There is a cheer that my high school team did before every game that was a decent length, it was all pounding the beat on the floor with our hands.

I'm not positive how I would convey the beat to you, but hand wise, it went like this:

two two clap two, two two clap two, two two clap two two two clap two two two clap two

two clap right right clap left left clap right right two two clap two two clap (two "let's") (clap "go") *hand in the air yelling team name*

two = use both hands at same time
right = use right hand
left = use left hand
clap = clap
*yes, self-explanitory, but just in case you are really tired when you read this or occasionally space out like I do.

The first part is a bit slower, and the commas indicate pauses, the second part speeds up a bit. You could start with this and play with it until you like the sound of it.

The parts in parentheses with words are things that happen simultaneously, so when you pound you yell those words. Like I said, you should play with it and see what you can make of it.

I would suggest just playing around with different patterns of pounding or stomping until you find something you like. Good luck developing your cheer!

for tips..

"tip tip hooray! tip tip hooray"

if ur looking for a cheer b4 the game starts ur team (the starters) can get in the middle of the court in a circle on ur knees and u hit the floor with ur hands

"let go UNO (team name)
U-N-O UNO!"(then spell out the name)

while ur doing that the beat it

while ur saying the 1st line
hit the ground twice
clap twice
(repeat 2 times)

while ur spelling..

hit the ground
clap
hit the ground
clap
hit the ground
clap
point one hand up in the air

then do a backwards roll to get up.

Our team would do all sorts of cheers such as....like let's say your team is the "lions" then you would spell it out and say "give me a long L" "L!", give me a short L, "L!" Don't give me no word, no word, don't give me no phrase, no phrase, just give me that beat, what kind of beat? the lion beat woot woot! And then you go through, like next you would do Give me a long I, I! and the short I and then go through the chant again, and do it with each letter until the end when you go "GIVE ME A LONG LIONS!" LIONS! and then give me a short lions, lions , and the chantn and it ends on the final woot woot....

lie on your stomach on the ground in a circle facing you teammates and

1) put your hands together
2) slap right hand on the ground, then clap, then left hand in this rhythm

right, clap, left, left, clap, right, clap, left, left, left, clap

then right, clap, left, left, clap

then cross your hands over each other three times

then do finger gun pose at your teammates while saying your team name and roll out backwards.

i LOVE that cheer.
