From the AKC standard:

(c) Height - Males--21 to 23½ inches; females--19 to 21 inches at the withers. An oversized or undersized Samoyed is to be penalized according to the extent of the deviation.

"At least 30 inches"???? Ummm...You measure at the shoulder blades, not the top of the skull!

LOVE SAMOYEDS I USE TO HAVE ONE. THEY WILL GET AT LEAST 30 INCHES TALL, I CAN'T REMEMBER,BUT THEY ARE BIG DOGS, SO SWEET AND LOVEABLE. DON'T LIKE TO STAY AT HOME. THEY GO VISITING IF THE CHANCE COME UP. THE BREEDER SAID THAT WAS ONE OF THEIR TRAITS IT IS HARD TO KEEP THEM HOME.I LIVED IN A SMALL TOWN WHEN I HAD HIM AND PEOPLE WOULD CALL AND TELL ME MY DOG WAS GOING IN THE POST OFFICE OR GROCERY STORE. ANY WHERE THERE ARE PEOPLE THEY WILL BE THERE. GOOD LUCK WITH A BEAUTIFUL DOG.
