I will also answer some of your questions it would take too long to answer them all so here goes i was raised a catholic since i was born but as i was growing up I saw a lot of hypocrisy and deception and when i asked questions i was punished by a ruller or made to sit in a trash can ect for asking valid reasonable questions in a polite and respectfull way and after the death of my mother all the priest was interested in was money to say some prayers for her and money was tight with hospital and funeral expenses and kids ofeed and clothe and medical bills and we not talking small money $600 per prayer in the 60s was a lot of moneyany way when I grew up i went to a catholic high school and not one time was the Bible opened up and even discussed except a few verses were mentioned at the mass followed bya hit for money so when i became an adult i started to search for the truth and i use all avenues of investigation and searched many religions and their origins and after many years of searching and asking questions i found Jehovahs Witnesses and asked a lot of questions and got a lot of answers that I checked out very thouroughlyand carefully from as many independent sources as were available even checked history ,archeology lexicography I checked everything with the proverbial fine tooth comb and they were always 100% accurate they know the Bible better than any one else on this planet and how to apply it in their lives and how to help others do so the closely follow the teachings of Jesus and his Apostles and the examples they set and are the Best examples of True CHRISTIANITY that you will ever find it is a way of life not a one hr a week show as some are they are priviledged to bear and make known gods personal name JEHOVAH as found in Ps 83:18 OKJV and originally found some 7,210 times in the original writings of the Bible they are the most honest ,hard working decent people you will ever meet and yes as Christians we are under jesus coimmand to share our faith in the Bible and the Good News of the Kingdom Matt 24;14,28:19,20 and to make Gods name Known that all christians pray for in the lords prayer Matt 6:9-12and i talkk to people of some 10,000 other faiths regularly it has been the most positive benefit in my life and all those i know hope this helps you gorbalizer

I'm with Troll Boy. However, I will answer a few of your questions. Maybe someone else can answer the rest.
I was introduced to Jehovah's Witnesses when I was about 3 years old. I did not like it at all then. Knocking on doors and going to meetings did not appeal to me. It wasn't until I was just about out of high school that I made a commitment to serve Jehovah. I never looked back after that.
Do I share my beliefs with others? Most certainly! Jesus' last command to his disciples before returning to heaven was to "go and make disciples of peoples of all the nations...teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you." Matt. 28:19. People call us a cult for knocking on doors because it gives them an excuse NOT to comply with Jesus' word to publicly declare his message to the masses. What negative things some people say about us will not deter us.

Introduced to this religion?
By arguing with my sister in law who started studying with JW.
My mother who hated catholics (she went to a catholic grade school) told me that she would prefer me to be a catholic rather than one of JW.
Main purpose of this religion is to worship the one true God, Jehovah, and to do His will.
It provides the best standard of life possible in this system of things, It provides hope, comfort, love, family. But more important it gives me the ability to know and worship Jehovah.
Life after death comes because of the resurrection.
People of other faiths have a free choice to worship as they choose. I am happy to share with people what I've found in the bible that will help them come to know Jehovah, what they do with that info is up to them.
Jehovah's organization is an organization of volunteers, no one is forced to be a member.
If I wasn't confident in my worship of Jehovah, I wouldn't be at your door this week end.

Jehovah continues all trustworthy ones in his reminiscence, like Job, the apostles, and simply traditional daily people who die trustworthy to him. I knew many that suffered in attention camps whilst I was once a tender Christian in Germany. There is not anything unsuitable in asking Jehovah to "hold them in his reminiscence," regardless that. I suppose you have been given a few very satisfactory solutions and lots of know-how to learn and research in that reguard. I'm completely satisfied this Q&A discussion board exists for simply this very purpose;and completely satisfied such a lot of had been right here for you and your questions. And sure, ask your research conductor he can give scriptures in an effort to reply your entire questions and advisor you.

Aquila is wrong with this answer:
--How is your belief in this religion benefiting you in your daily life?
My religion is an art-form, so it’s like going to an art gallery.
From my research Jehovah's Witnesses arn't supposed to participate in RELIGIOUS ART.
"Witness children may not be allowed to participate in: Sports, cheerleading, homecoming, school dances, dating, school clubs, school plays, blood donations, raffles, patriotic music, religious art, combat instruction, birthday parties, Christmas activities, and national holidays."

i don't think Jehovah's witnesses would be on Y! Answers.....
try this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jehovahs_witness
I actually know some of these, but I'm not technically a Jehovah's Withness.
I was introduced b/c a lady knocked on my door with one of their magazines. i did visits with her fo a while. They believe that only 144,000 ppl go to heaven. The rest live eternally in a paradise on earth. The lady I met seemed nice, but I've heard some bad stories about Jehovah's Withnesses...

Ask them how they have the Bible for their authority in faith but they reject (rationalize away) the testimony of Thomas saying Jesus is God. Then, you will come to realize how convoluted their rationalization is.
