A legal immigrant goes to the government and asks to become a part of this country. They usually must have something to offer the country to be allowed in (college education, large investments in the country). Also, people can move from another country to this one if they marry a citizen of this country. Legal immigrants are screened for diseases and have background checks done to make sure they are not criminals.
Illegal immigrants do not go to the government and ask, they simply come here and stay. They may bring diseases or be criminals.
Some people claim that illegal immigrants are taking American jobs... as soon as those people want to take a job working on a farm and get denied because an illegal immigrant already took the job, then they can complain.
Another group of people claim that illegal immigrants are mistreated. First, they are ILLEGAL immigrants, meaning they are criminals by being here. Second, the immigrants are better off here than they were back in their country (or else why not just go back?). Third, stop complaining about the low wages unless you want to pay $10 for a pound of potatoes and $5 for an apple.

A legal immigrant applies for a work visa or visitors visa or permanent resident visa in their home country, pays fees, files applicationas an waits for status.
And Illegal comes in and bullies governmetn into giving them status.
However what the illegals and the US citizens don't know is the back room deals the US cuts with Mexico and other South American countries over granting them status.
This has become a political bargaining chip in the world poker game.

A criminal immigrant contacts the government, demands archives and signatures, and gets authorized to be homed on the land. An unlawful immigrant is one that is residing on the land with out having archives or permission. So my mom is a criminal immigrant with a citizenship and has government archives like a drivers license and passports. The little guy working contained in the basement of the corporate construction around the line for $2 an hour with out any criminal archives is illegitimate. He does not exist in accordance to the guidelines.

The legal immigrant took the time to go through the proper channels and got permission, and the proper paperwork to be in the country.. The Illegal immigrant did not go through the proper channels, does not have permission to be here, and entered the country through a hole in the fence.

A legal immigrant is here because he took the entrance exam, wants to be a us citizen. They went thru the proper channels to become a citizen. An illegal immigrant is here illegally. THey usually steal the identity of someone here to get a job they don't plan on staying at very long, send US dollars back to their family in Mexico. They take our jobs, and don't have to pay taxes on anything-Sound fair to you?
