What is important is the commitment, and the ring symbolizes that commitment to others. It also signals that you are not available. So it is preferable to wear the ring. However, some people have physical problems wearing rings. I am such a person. When I wear a ring all the time, moisture builds up and causes a rash. So although I have been married over 40 years, I have not worn my rings more than a day or so at a time. I express my commitment in other ways, and you can too.

There are some religions that consider a wedding band jewelry and therefore do not wear them. Does not make any of them less married.
My mother did not get a weddng band until they were married about 35 years. My parents were married almost 50 years before my father died.
The ring does not make a marriage.
I think it's wise to wear a ring. But there are some that cannot wear a ring because of work or allergies. It should be your behavior that lets another know you are married.

No. I'm married, and don't always wear my ring. I do however tell any man that flirts that I'm happily married. Marriage isn't about material things. The ring is just a symbol. I like having my ring, don't get me wrong, but it's not the most important thing. What's important is keeping each other happy/

I did, but find myself not wearing mine enough. I more or less removed them during a twin pregnancy and kept them off, so many diaper changes and scratching the babies with the diamond. I do now try to make it a point when I leave the house to put them on, as my husband doesn't think it's too cool when I don't wear them.

In our culture and society, it is normal and customary to wear a ring after you get married. It symbolizes love of course, but it is a great non-verbal way to communicate to someone that you are NOT available. I am proud to wear my wedding ring!

Yes, it is a symbol of your commitment. I'd love to wear mine, but unfortunately since I became pregnant and had my first baby in September, it's been too small. I've not been able to get it to have it resized. My finger feels bare without it.

Yes, it shows that you belong to another person, so stay away. It is also a cute little reminder that someone somewhere in the world loves and cares about you.

No. The bond, commitment, and trust is what is important. A ring can't make that happen, and it won't stop anything bad from happening.

I feel naked without mine. I usually only take it off to shower and when I am making cookies or something else that can be an irritant/get contaminated in the kitchen.
