I once attended a Jewish synagogue service and was welcomed with open arms. I was even given a book to assist with following their service and they made no attempts to convert me or anyone with me (we were in a group).
Jews do not believe Jesus is the messiah and therefore do not accept the New Testament. That does not make them intolerant. Would your not accepting Mohammad as a prophet or the Qur'an not being the word of God make you intolerant?
Intolerance is the action of that individual, it does not speak for the entire Jewish community.

I find Jews to be very tolerant people on the whole. Of course she finds the New Testament to be fiction. She doesn't believe in it. How can she believe it is anything but fiction if she doesn't believe in it. If she did believe in it, she would be a Christian. Do you find the Book of Mormon to be fiction? Do you find the Koran to be fiction? Do you consider yourself intolerant just because you don't believe in it? It is all a matter of perspective.

So, because ONE person said that to you the entire race/religion is xenophobic & intolerant? And just what does that make you?
This is one Jew who happens to believe the NT and follows the Messiah.

ummm, you do understand that xenophobic and intolerant are two different things. Additionally, regarding the story you mentioned, I think that is an example of you getting your a$$ shoved in your face, not an example of intolerance or xenophobia.
after all, we jews tolerate the fact that christians believe in the NT. Believe anything you want. But if you want the facts, here they are: It is fiction.

she could be right, that is her belief. just as yours is that it is true. many christians are just as intolerant of those who don't believe or even those who extend the NT by adding a later propher.
Mnay jews are xenophobic because they can be, they have a lot of military and financial support from the us, so they are allowed to be whatever they want.

Why is it intolerant? Did he tell try to force you to change your attitude? Are all incompatible attitudes intolerant? Since your attitude disagrees with his so why aren't you the intolerant one?

you are a liar.
if you follow jesus and believe in the NT than you are a christian, and are no longer jewish.
but as said, to think its any different for christians to deny the Koran, than for a jew to deny the NT, is just silly.

lol. good for the orthodox jew. she was right. sort of weird though that your definition of xenobophic is "thinks christianity is fake." in that respect everybody who is not a christian is a xenophobe.
