Contact the organization that organizes your refs in middle school and high school.

In Wisconsin, we have the WIAA - you contact them, and they have you take a certification test to become an official in the high school ranks. In middle school, you don't have to be certified to ref, just know the rules. But that is in WI.

To line judge, you don't have to be certified. That is a good way to observe the certified refs and see the routines. The WIAA also has classes one can attend to learn the stuff for certification.

I don't know why you'd want to be a ref. Everyone hates the refs.
