Not these days. Attendances at Christian churches are declining fast. The only people I know who go regularly are old. Church weddings, funerals and baptisms are still common though.
The official religion of the UK is Anglican, but there are a lot of other Protestant denominations (Methodist, Baptist, Presbyterian etc) represented too. I think around 10-20% of UK Christians are Catholic.
Muslims are the probably the most religious people in the UK. There are mosques in most towns. There are also small minorites of Hindus, Sikhs and Jews.

Attendance figures at churches throughout the UK are on the decline. African churches have higher attendance figures, proportionally, as do gospel and other smaller groups (the Anglican church is by far the largest followed by the Catholics)

The same seems to be true for Jews.

Muslims often frequent the mosque for communal prayers on Friday afternoons but the proportion is never anywhere near the numbers on religious festivals.

Hindus are not obliged to go to the temple and usually have dedicated areas to pray in their houses.

Sikhs are going to the gurudwara in greater proportions than Christians and as the religion is an integral part of the Sikh culture it doesn't seem like that will change.

There is a common problem that all suffer from, namely how to increase attendance by young people.

there are lots of people that go to church to worship, but not all are true Christians.

Just because you go to church doesn't make you a Christian
- just like -
just because you go to MacDonalds doesn't make you a Cheeseburger! =)

The UK being known as a Christian Country doesn't mean it is anymore. Yet people profess it to be!!

I think that most Brits are Protestant in denominations such as Episcopal, Presbyterian, and Anglican. I'm not positive about the latter part.
