If you are on a budget VO5 is good, but, definitely agree w/Kat,wet is best! If you can spend a bit more Biolage hydratherapie made by Matrix (you can buy it at a hair salon or beauty outlet store). It only takes a little bit, you can use it as a daily conditioner or leave it in your hair wrapped with a hot towel or plastic wrap for about 20-30 minutes if you have the time, for a deep condition treatment. I have color treated and permed hair, I have used both methods.

It doesnt work I think it depends on your hair type though, I have dry hair and I find that washing it every 3 days helps keep the natural oils in my hair, ...but when I was younger I used to swim at the beach alot like every day, and as a treatment that was cheap for mum, I'd use olive oil after a good condition then it stays thru more washes... try it, it might help

VO5 is not a bad product, but it is certainly not the best. Follow the instructions and if the instruction says that you should use it on wet hair, you should use it that way. Wet hair gets conditioned better because cuticles in wet hair are open and exposed, so they can get treated better.
