Yes. I am Lutheran and I believe in saints BUT they were people. People, just like you and me. I have been a member of the Missouri Synod and E.L.C.A. and to my knowledge we do not pray TO saints. We are thankful for them and all they did. We adhere to their writings but they are not the body that can give us salvation. I think many of their writings affirm that. They don't point to themselves but to Christ. Saints may be in a select group but as far as hearing, answering, blessing, and saving us from sin...no. That's accomplished through Christ alone. Thankful for them, respect them, honor them, blessed through their writings, and in a manner of speaking-follow them...yes. But God is front and center. God Bless.

If they say no it is a lie because I have seen many Churches with names like St. Marks or St. Lukes or etc. Why name them after Saints if they don't believe in them.
