No, not exactly. It is a variation of "freak" which is a stand-in for f*ck. Like saying "crud" instead of cr*p, "shoot" instead of sh*t. But some people may still be offended by it.

Um, it's only bad if you're like, I don't know, an immature two year old. Frick is not a swear word, and your friends are frickin idiots if they say it is. Same goes for crap.
As a note to anyone thinks it is because it is a stand-in word, so is snapple, shitakie mushrooms,gosh darnit*goddamnit* and almost every other word in the english language. A cuss word is nothing but a word used for emphasis, they're just marked as vulgar for whatever reason.

Any word can be a swear word depended upon the senders meaning. How do you think the writers of the new "Battlestar Gallacitica" got the word "frack" by the TV PC? According to the dictionary, there is no such word, but we all know what it means when they say it.

Frick and crap aren't *technically* profanity, but you wouldn't use them in polite company.

fricking=f*cking
crap=sh*t

They're toned down a bit, but if you're going to curse you might as well say the real thing.

it somewhat relies upon on the challenge and the way it truly is declared. i does no longer evaluate fricken to be a swear note in a common communique, i'd evaluate fricken a swear note if it replaced into used in an indignant thanks to someone.
