On my 15th birthday, my mom is taking me to get a tattoo. Im thinking of getting a skull or heart on my wrist. I don't want it to be too visible or really standoutish , does anyone have any suggestions on what kind of tattoo I should get? I want somthing that is a medium size, not girly ( butterflys, faeries ect..) and it will go on my wrist or ankle. THNx!

Part of the reason that you have to be 18 to get a tattoo is because at 15 years old your body(skin) is not fully devloped. If you get a tattoo now, chances are that by the time you are in your 20's its going to look bad. My suggestion to you, if you are absolutely going to get one, that its something you can do a cover up on later down the road. I'm guessing 95% of the people that got a tattoo when they were young reget it and wished they would have waited!

if you don't want it to be very visible then you definitely should not get it on your wrist! it is one of the most visible places besides your neck or your hands. i would definitely get something somewhere else for your first tattoo. it's something i have toyed with for a long time. i got my first tattoo 8 years ago and i still haven't decided to make the commitment to get one. think about it long and hard.
i have a tattoo of a skull and i love it. it's a more realistic skull, not cartoony but it's not in realistic colors. check out my tattoo artist's page he has some great tattoos and you may find some cool inspiration.

If your mother is letting you get a tattoo for your 15th birthday, you have bigger problems that what tattoo to get. I'm guessing there is not father in the picture or he would be kicking the crap out of your mother. Don't get a tattoo at 15 you will only regret it. Your MOM however needs to seek professional help. Does she suffer from Retardation?

put your mom on this computer!
why are you getting a tattoo at 15? then at 17, your taste will change, and you'll be going back for a coverup. i'm not saying not to get one, i have one on my ankle, but you should think long and hard about what you want. a tattoo doesn't come off, and you need to be sure of what you want.
ok- you want a skull OR a heart on your wrist, but you don't want it to stand out?! how is a skull on your wrist NOT going to stand out?! it's a skull! on your wrist! please rethink the placement. you are 15, and aren't even thinking past highschool. who is going to hire a young lady with a skull tattoo on her wrist? unless you want to wear long sleaves for the rest of your life, put a tattoo somewhere else. please think long and hard about it, at least until you are of age to get one without mommy. did you know they hurt like a b****? yeah...needles, in and out of your skin. just wait. you'll be happy you did.

Hi Kid, You have to be 18 to get a tattoo. Wait until 18, and get a little red devil put on your wrist. Then put a tribal heart on your other one.Or on your ankle. You choose which one gos where. I have 4 tats myself.Have fun with it.You have 3 more years to think about where to put your tattoos. A Friend.

You are too young to have a tattoo. I would suggest to have it when you already decided what career path you want to be in.
My pretty and tall friend lost her opportunity to be an airline staff (which is her dream) because of the tattoo.
Mine I had just now that I am already working and having a stable job.

Look at Google images, type in tattoos and see what comes up, you need to look at loads of books and pictures and get inspiration, no point asking people on here who don't know you or your personality or style, tattoos are too personal. And a tattoo at 15???? That's not even legal in the UK, very young.

Don't get one, you are only 15. A good Tattoo Artist will not tattoo a 15 year old. Even if your stupid mother says it is alright. There is not one artist I know that will tattoo a 15 year old kid. Your Mom is a idiot.

go with the ankle or small of the back, but stay away from the skulls, that's too boyish unless you're a dyke. something tribal would be cool. but most states min.age 16 even with parents permission
