What is a good disenfectant?

Question

My cat is recovering from ringworm and is confined to my bedroom. What is something that i can use daily that will kill the ringworm spores, besides bleach. I am looking to disenfect things like my bedspread and carpet.

I am wondering if Lysol disenfectant spray kills the fungus? Does febreese antimicrobial kill it?

Ringworm is a fungus if vet did not tell you. No you can not use bleach and many strong cleaner around cats!! Normal washing of bedding, etc is fine.You do not really need to disinfect but if concerned call the vet and ask first!!! Many cleaners can be very harmful and sprays in general due to upper respiratory irritation. Cats walk on. lay on and then lick.

Ringworm in humans can be treated with the creme used for athlete's foot! Serious, we use it on the animals and less $$. Ringworm is picked up out in the yard for whatever reason. Look it up on internet.

i dont think that Febreeze would kill it, as all that does is like refresh the air...take out stale odors. i dont think the lysol disinfectant would either, but i would suggust buying Lysol liquid , it comes in a brown bottle and very strong....dilute it with water to clean your carpet and depending on the color of your bedspread...if its white i would wash it in the washer with bleach....if colored, i would get clorox bleach(powder for colors). that might work for you.

I keep birds and use Milton Baby Antibacterial solution to clean all of there equipment and cages..
