Yes, anyone who has gotten a speeding ticket is a "criminal" in about the same manner as an illegal immigrant. I agree that the two are comparable offenses.
However, here is the major difference... when I got my ticket, I paid a fine ($120 to Orange County, to be exact). When illegals are caught, they have to pay their "fine", which according to the law is deportation. I don't understand why they feel they have the right to complain about it, or why they feel that they're exempt from the law. When I was caught speeding, I had to pay my fine. I couldn't get out of it. When they are caught being here illegally, they shouldn't be able to get out of being deported, because that is the "fine" they have to pay.
On the other hand, you have to complete the analogy by mentioning that most drivers in America speed, and most do so on a daily basis, yet are never caught. Many illegals come over our borders, hundreds daily, yet are also never caught. However, if you continue to speed every day, you increase your chance of eventually being pulled over and given a ticket. And likewise, every day that the illegals stay here, they run the risk of being eventually found out and sent back. The ones that stay here the longest are usually the ones that keep their noses clean (i.e. don't go committing more crimes) and to the grindstone, while it's the ones that cause trouble that usually get caught and deported most often. Call it karma, but it makes sense because as a society we'd much rather have new members (legal or not) who contribute something positive rather than new members who want an easy life of crime or welfare.
To Cheo - yes, I guess that makes me a criminal. But you know what? I paid my fine, I did what I had to do to serve my punishment. So, just when are all the illegals going to pay their fine and serve their punishment?

I guess it is because they think that by comparing two illegal actions they can say "see you break the law only in a minor way, they do also". Well guess what, traffic violations can lead to severe accidents and injure and kill thousands every year making this a stupid comparison (or maybe not).
By the way I have never gotten a speeding ticket so by this logic do I still have the right to dislike illegal immigration.

I realize a number of law enforcement officials and none of them have ever bought a price ticket for dashing whilst they're pulled over. A lot of it's going to ought to do with the "code" that law enforcement officials comply with to safeguard their possess. I can not say all law enforcement officials get out of tickets despite the fact that. Just those I realize.

Because they are trying in vain to find a general theme to breaking the law for their criminal illegal alien pals. I got a ticket when I allowed someone to do an oil change in my carport(against city code where I live) I complied and promised never, ever to do it again. Not quite the same as jumping a border and living off Americans hardworking taxes either, because you see, I would have to pay that fine... Grabbing at straws, I am telling you.. it is getting pretty thin on their arguments..

Its makes them feel good. Like they broke the law yes but just a little bit. But we must keep in mind that most broke not only 1 law, that ofjust being here illegally, but then most of them went on to break other laws, like using fake or stolen IDs, and SS cards.

There are many questions on this board that equate illegal presence in the US with felonies like rape and murder. There are also many who go on and on about "its the law" or "what part of illegal don't you understand". The fact is that, legally speaking, illegal presence is a civil infraction closer to a speeding ticket than a murder. Therefor if someone is criticizing an illegal alien for violating the law, and they themselves have also done so, then they are being hypocritical.

Stupid, the similarities. You choose to ignore the law until you got caught. If the policeman hadnt pulled you over, then you would have continued with your dangerous and need I say, illegal speeding.
Sounds like illegal immigration to me.
