If there is something you REALLy want, now is the time to ask for it. eg. a docking station for the iPod etc.
If there is nothing material you really want, the jewelery is a great idea, or ask your mom to get you tickets to a play or show and go together. You will both enjoy the gift and the time together.

Ask for a generous amount of money, let your mom tell you how much and if you want more come up with a simple solution remember you do not want to be mean but you probably need the money anyway and your mom will probably not mind.

Think about something that will make you happy for more than a few days or weeks and that hopefully will make you a better person. (Maybe a family trip to somewhere new, lessons of something you want to learn [flying, scuba diving, dancing...)
Your Mom sounds nice & you seem like a good kid!! Good Luck choosing &....Have a Happy holiday :)

Something that you can keep would be awesome... it depends if you want it to be Jewish-related or not. Jewelry, electronics etc would be good ideas. Or maybe a really pretty mezuzah for your room (if you have them). If she's asking you what you want, think about something that she'd like to buy for you too, then she won't be thinking you're spoiled. If she can see you wear something or see that you'll make good use of what she buys you for years to come, it'll mean more to her too :)

A piece of jewelry that you will have for a lifetime is always a great thing. Technology eventually is replaced.
You will able to look back on a ring or bracelet an be able to say "my mom gave me this"

I got myself I jewelry porcelain box, the minute I saw it I was breath taken. It has the Star of David on it, it's lovely!
I got it at Mikasa outlet a few years ago.
Perhaps, a jewelry armorer to put your bling in it.
Happy Chanukah every one!
