when u save it, u can save it to ur hard drive, removable drive, A:,B:,C:,D:....depending how u have ur pc set up. U can save it and then run it...you will be able to use the program at another time without having to re download it. If u just run it, its not saved to a drive and will have to be re downloaded later if u want to use it. Hope this helps

nicely those are the options which have all different makes use of: Run or Open: both are an same i.e. Run is used once you've downloaded a application or an lively X component and Open at the same time as its a let say note rfile or image and so on... In those recommendations a record is downloaded, kept to a non everlasting folder and is then achieved as in line with requirement. a non everlasting folder has the flexibility to delete its factors with out delay. save: As its call exhibits the record is downloaded to a consumer defined area and is kept in that area completely till the consumer favor to delete or act upon it. A kept record ought to nicely be run/achieved later or maybe dispensed, it truly is carefully at consumer disposal at the same time as a record in non everlasting folder receives deleted with out delay

When you hit the open button in the dialogue box the browser runs the software fromits hidden cache but when you click on save it will first save it at the designated location and then you can run it later . Save is always better as you can use the exe file later and who wants to lose anything that they downloaded anyway , you pay for the right !!!

Opening the item will start it up right away. Saving the program places the download on a place in your hard drive for you to open later.

Save means that you want to save your download to somewhere on your pc to use/install it later. Run means that after the download process finish, the program will run an automatic installation while you're still connect to the internet.

Many have answered your question. I just want to add a word of caution. Downloaded programs may contain viruses or spywares.. So I normally save it to 'My Documents' first. Then scan the program with my anti virus and anti spyware programs. For some anti virus program you have to open the program into folders to scan thoroughly. When you download and open immediately you may activate virus and/or spyware if it is an infected program. If it is a safe program then only do I run or open it. If unsafe or infected I would delete the program. I have even shredded an infected program with my AVG Anti Spyware program.

Run and Open simply puts the file in the Windows temporary folder and opens it but deletes the file when it is done.

Saving a file will permenantly save the file onto your hard disk and you can run it as many times as you want.

Open will run the program. Save will allow you to save it and run it later.

Saving it will store the file to a folder that you'll be selecting. You can open the file in that folder after the download. Opening it will store the file to a temporary folder then will open the file immediately after the download. Unfortunately, the file might get lost in that folder during disk clean-ups.

After you've chosen to download, you'll get the options to 'open' or to 'save'-I assume that's what you're referring to.

'Open' simply opens the document or file etc. into your computer's volatile memory (RAM) so that you can view it here and now, without saving it to media (be it hard disk or otherwise).

'Save', on the other hand, saves the document to media. After saving, the document does not automatically open.
