Mom problems?

I'm a 18 yearold girl and My mom treats me like I'm stupid. She always repeat things more slowly than my other siblings to me and tells me the most obvious things, like when to wash my hands. She doesn't trust me to use things like tools, I have experience with tools, even with a power saw and she acts like I can't use a hammer. She believes my little sister is smarter than me just because she's in honors class. That may be true but I help her with school even though I'm in regular classes. My guess this is lack of respect, but I don't know. People have trust me to do big responsibilities and my mom gives me the easiest jobs. Does my mom need to treat me better or I'm I just overreacting? What should I do?

I've tried talking to my mother about this, but she's stubborn and always ends up with yelling, maybe I should go with I different approach and be more calmer, even though my mom is big pain.

that's absurd though you need to ask your mum point blank why she treats you like that. once she has given you her reasons then stop trying to win her affection, you will need to bite your tongue sometimes and other times just walk away from her, if she asks why tell her that you dont want to be around someone who disrespects you.

i think your mom should treat you better and no i don't think that you are overreacting. Even though you may be younger then your mother but like i say if you want respect you have to give respect and she is not giving you respect from what i here. So what you should do is try to have a woman to woman conversation with your mother and let here know how you feel and maybe she will understand if she don't then give her a little time maybe she is going through something that she don't want y'all to know about for example she was treated like trash in her past and she really don't know how to act so ask her and have a woman to woman heart to heart conversation with her.

No it is not approximately your being a teenaager , extremely that's a pair of mom being terrified of this international and what could take place . She is terrified for you her daughter by using fact she loves you . She seems to have a reason to be afraid for you . You stated on the start which you have been a young person with a wild social existence . That even frightens me . That wild social existence is why I completely agree including your mom , She is conscious what could take place to you in case you nevertheless have a wild way of existence. won't be precisely what you had to take heed to I merely it helps you recognize why your mom feels the way she does solid success and God bless

my family is similar,i am the oldest but i know my middle sister feels this way somthimes also,both me and my youngest sister are very sporty and have been left to do and learn our own things but my mother has always motticoldeld mid sister to much,has always helped her to much and looks out for her which in truth is stopping her from learing and having her own experiences.but on the other hand does she also play on it.
