When I download a program,.What information is exchanged between my computer and the site I`m getting it from?

Can I mask my host server and IP ? What kind of revealing information is my computer transmitting?

It tells them EVERYTHING!
Even things you haven't admitted to yourself yet.
If you are downloading from a legitimate site, why worry.

If you're stealing or doing kiddie porn, you deserve to be caught & jailed anyway.

No big deal, Only your IP and, browser type and your Operating system.

I think you can use a proxy if u don't wanna reveal your real IP.
