I am petite/average, 5'2 and it seems like tall girls sort of think they are better b/c they are taller. Personally, I would prefer to be short over tall, only cause I don't like being stared at. But do some tall girls think this? Or are tall girls jealous of short girls b/c they are cute (although there are plenty of cute tall girls)?

People are more attracted to tall people because... they occupy more space! they can be seen even from afar, that's why models are supposed to be tall, so the clothes that they're wearing could be noticeable too. Are tall girls do better than the short ones? of course not! The President of the Philippines is only 5'2", and she's brilliant. Her husband is more than 6' tall.
Besides, short girls haver alot of advantages too, and if i discuss them 1 by 1, Yahoo may ran short of database memory. :)

There are some girls that will think they are better than you because they are taller...(I only know one girl like that though...and she's ugly so it doesn't matter) but most tall girls who are happy with who they are (when you're a teen it's hard to love yourself when you're 5'11 as a girl) but tall girls are not jealous of short girls...it's more about looks..ugly girls are jealous of pretty girls if the girl is short and ugly she will want to be tall and pretty like that girl but if theres a tall and ugly girl she will want to be like the short and pretty one

Well, I'm 6'1" and don't feel like I'm better or worse than someone else just because s/he's shorter or taller. I'm just used to it, I've always been taller than most people around me, don't even pay attention unless someone says something...I feel a little funny when I see a woman taller than me, just cuz it doesn't happen very often =P But it's harder for tall women to buy clothes, fit in seats and find men ;) so I guess you have some advantage.

I gotta admit, sometimes these questions make no sense to me.
I have not noticed tall girls 'thinking they are better' than short girls or 'being jealous' of them. I have heard plenty of short girls complain about how short they are and plenty of tall girls complain about how tall they are.
So if other girls seem not to like you, maybe there is another reason.

I am a short girl, I love being short. I honestly do not think taller girls get jealous of the shortness, everyone is different! Some ppl like tall some ppl like short!

No!!! we are not better than short girls, there is no difference, everyone has something good, and it doesn't have to do in anyway with the height, be happy, it's much easyier for you to find boyfriends, some guys don't like being shorter than their girlfriend so it's hard for us ( hehe well I'm tall 5, 9)
In my case I don't feel any better than shorter girls!!!

I dont think that they are jealous but more or so they dont know what its like to be shorter and most of my friends are much taller then me being that I am only 4'11 1/2. Most of them feel as though i have it easy because they are stared at and they say its hard to shop for clothes because they often have the problems of jeans being too short. Its just a matter of how you view it and their situation!!

I'm 5'2 too, and my mom, older sister, younger sister and younger brother are all taller than me. They laugh, but they just joke. I don't really get any feed back from tall girls, but some do feel they have an advantage if they got in a fight with a short girl. Not always do tall girls win fights. Or boyfriends, and I'm proud to be short, cuz anyone I date is taller than me, and that's how I like it! Enjoy being short, we can't really change it!

I am 5'11" tall, and I don't mind it. I wouldn't say I am jealous of shorter girls, however, I am envious that they can find pants that fit them in almost every store! It's really hard to find a good pair of jeans when you are tall. PS-There are just as many cute tall girls as there are cute short girls...as a matter of fact, I think the tall cute girls get noticed first because we stand out! :)

Well it's either or.. I mean, I'm 5'10.. I've always wanted to be shorter but it's not possible. So now I'm over it.. and I will rock heels whether I'm 4'10 or 6'1.. okay.. maybe not 6'1.. lol.. but it depends on the person.. some people may 'look' like they think that they're better than someone else by the way they walk.. if you are proud of how you look, you'll walk with your head up, straunting your stuff, otherwise if you have low self esteem, you'll walk with your head down, slumped shoulders; It all depends on the person!
