They will be almost not visible or lighter after time. Mine from surgery is hardly visible. :)

You can minimize scars, but you probably will never be entirely rid of them. Basic skin care and 'blemish minimization' which you can find at www.cosmeticscop.com will help a lot. Even if you just go through the research and decide what's for you.
Alpha and beta hydroxy acids are good for minimizing scars. But you will need to continue using them or the original damage will return.
There are now laser treatments you can use too. And while they're not cheap they ARE getting less expensive and cause minimal discomfort. I had laser hair removal and even though my skin is very fair and pretty sensitive I was able to walk out of the office with no tell-tale signs that I'd had a treatment. If I were you, I'd look into laser possibilities. Some of these things are getting to be more of a $300 issue than a $3000 issue.
Good luck! I've had gastric bypass surgery so I'm also concerned about minimizing scar tissue. The site I listed above has a lot of good information.

If the scars are still relatively new, use a Vitamin E cream on them. If they are old scars that have not vanished, take a Vitamin E supplement - at least 1000 mg per day. They will fade over time.

Get a new body?
Seriously it depends on the type and severity of the scars. I would clarify the question if I were you.
There are numerous cosmetic surgery procedures out there designed specifically for scar removal, I'd examine those.

I hope that helps u!

It depends on what kind scars you have, is it a suicide kind of scars, if it is that then stop cutting it, or if it is like scars from birth complexion, live with it, remember it is the inside that counts not the outside. Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter helps as well.

if they're not too serious you could go to a spa and get microdermabrasion done. it's like a facial - but for any place on your body. it exfoliates skin and YES you do see results ;]
and talk to your doctor.
PS: if they're not super noticeable you could use over the counter or prescription creams that have vitamins and restore your skin
good luck
