a hug was enough for me, and we've been together ever since(over 4 years!)

a handshake = "The date was great, but it was a blind date and I'm not really interested." or "I don't really know how to respond. I'm really shy around you, but I like you." or "Let's be friends. I'm not interested."
The one that handshakes is shy.
a hug = "You're amazing and fun. I can really have a great time hanging out with you." or "We were good friends for awhile, and it's cool going out." or "I love you like family!" or "You're so cute, annd the date was fun! Thanks!"
One that gives hug thinks the other is charming, fun and cute.
a kiss on the cheek = "You don't even know how amazing you are." or "I think I may like you alot." or "I like you more than a friend." or "This is true and real love."
One that kisses on cheek likes the other person alot and is willing to stay in a relationship.
a kiss on the lips = "I love you." or "See you again for sure."
One that kisses on the lips is not that shy and likes the other.
a french kiss = "Damn, your ******* hot." or "Yes, this is why I dated you." or "Let's go to second base!"
One that goes in first is generally the one that wants something besides the relationship.

One that starts is the one looking for playfulness and most likely a swinger

The one that starts having sex is the one who probably isn't interested with a relationship with the other.
