I've recently been asked by a man to play golf with him. Since I don't want this man to think me foolish, I refrained from asking what he meant.
What on earth is golf?
Is it a board game or what?

do you live under a rock or in a cave? Do you need to know what baseball is too? Ever hear of Tiger Woods?
Golf. its a sport. Clubs and a little white ball you have to hit 300 plus yards and get it in a little hole in the ground.
Its also a car made by Volkswagen.

Are you serious?! Just go play golf with him, then you'll know. The only thing foolish is not asking questions when you have them. That may be the reason you don't know everyday things.

Meaning of golf - Okay iam sure u have been playing football so golf is also the same and different is same field but there will be hole in the field and u need 2 use small heavy ball instead of football and stick instead of your leg. .......... have fun.

Golf is a game played with a club, a ball
and a hole in the ground.
The ball is way too small.
And, the hole is way too far away.
Do yourself a favor and discover checkers,
or chess or monopoly.

it`s a game where you hit a little white ball for 100`s of yards until it goes in a hole.Then you pick it up and do it all over again.You have to do this 18 times,then go into the clubhouse and have a drink while telling everyone how good you are .

It's a cover-up for something, usually. As in, 'I was playing golf'. It doesn't really mean anything.

It is the worst damn sport in the world (i apologize to golfers or fans!) Do not play, it takes time to play well enough! and is incredibly boring!
