confucianism was an ethical system but not religious because Confucius used this religion to answer the questions of his day and teach people morals, principles, and the correct way to live. it's not religious because Confucius doesn't talk about heaven, God, or an afterlife

They did not focus on god like beings who controlled the world. They were more concerned with living a good life. But they did believe in spirits of nature and such.

non secular ethics is depending on the texts of non secular files. you do not worship pretend idols because you've self belief God commanded it. An non-religous moral gadget is extra complicated. it truly is a hybrid of common sense, custom, empathy, and aspects of organic decision and evolution.

Because Confucious taught that everyone had a duty to do for china, and that everyone was obligated to do it. It couldn't be religous because he claimed himself as a philosipher, not a god. Many aristocrats liked him because, in his mind, their duty to China was to own land and divide it among their sons. They were happy with him because that's what they were already doing.

because buddha was older and heavier, therefore, he kicked butt. and he was royalty! and you know... worshipping royalty's practically a religion itself for some.
(i just make lame jokes when i don't know the answer, pardon me... with as much sincerity as i can muster: i'd really really like to know the answer to that question too)
