First of all make sure you like his personality and can stand to be around him.
Now for him to notice you be yourself, make as much eye contact as possible and make sure smile (not a big 'I act like a bimbo' smile but a shy smile that says 'hi I'd like to get to know'.
If he smiles back then you know that he noticed.
Then when your confident that you got his attention and he is interested in you go introduce yourself ans start up a conversation.
And there you have it... he notices you.
