if you have basel cell skin cancer does anyone know what your chances of getting melanoma are?

I'm not sure of the statistic, but I doubt they are high. I've had already 4 people in my family and 3 friends with basal cell and none have turned malignant. So I wouldn't worry. Usually when cancers are caught early the chance of recovery skyrockets.

I had melanoma in my leg and since then I have had 6 operations and 15 biospys. I have to see a doctor every 3-4 months for a complete skin check. When I saw your question i di da little research because I did not want to give you the wrong answer. I found a web site that tells you about basic cell cancer.
