There is a purgatory, people. There's a verse in the bible in machabees,, "it is a holy and wholesome thought to pray for the dead, that they may be loosed from their sins". Therefore, there must be a purgatory, because it's too late to pray for them if they're in hell, and you don't need to if they're in heaven, right? Duh! Technically, we Catholics don't pray TO the saints- we ask them to pray FOR us to God, because their prayers are more powerful than ours of course- they're already in Heaven. So we ask the Saints to pray to God for our departed loved ones who might still be in purgatory. And yes, one of the good works that nuns do is to pray to the Saints for the souls in purgatory. I hope I answered your question well!
Now- to the people that say it is wrong to not reproduce, then when does it become wrong? Does every person have a duty to be married when they're 18? Or when they're old enough to, like 12? Or what if they don't find the right person? Also, Jesus told the Apostles to leave their wives and families and follow him- to be celebate. And there have always been from biblical times groups of virgins that would dedicate their lives to prayer and God. And the Catholic church is the true church. Jesus said to Peter, "thou art the rock and upon this rock I shall build MY church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it". MY church, he said. Not Luther's church or Menno Simmon's church. HIS church.

There is no purgatory. And nuns are false. The Lords first commandment was to be fruitful and multiply and these women go and practice abstenence. What a Joke. God does not hear them nor does he know them, according to the word of God.

Yes, I do believe that they do, especially as this is mentioned in almost every mass and so forth and there are various prayers for the dead.
It is good to have those alive in Heaven help us in prayer, which is what praying to the saints is. If only more people understood.

Some do. It depends on the type of nun. There are many "nuns" today that are nuns in name only and they do not reflect the religious order in any way.

The notion of Purgatory and Hell are incompatible with the definition of a God.

Assuming that the people in heaven (saints) can hear us, nuns do ask for their prayers as one might ask anybody's prayers.

Not any more. God refused to renew Satan's lease it seems. Purgatory seems to have just evaporated.
