Yes, if you open 'My Computer', right click on the cd drive with the cd in there, there's an option to erase disc. left click it.

Sorry people but I am always erasing just a file or two from my CD/RW drives. It depends on the software you have. Nero won't do it as it wants to format the whole drive. I use an older version of Roxio because it will do it and is easier to use for the most part.

It all depends on the burning software you are using. You cannot erase just one file from a CD-RW, but must reformat (erase) the entire disk to re-use the space.
Having said that, there are packet writing programs that make your Imation CD-RWs appear to act like large capacity diskettes. The software allows you to "edit" and "delete" files from those discs. And when you "delete" the files they seem to disappear from Windows Explorer. But in fact the space is still being used, and to regain that space, there is no way around it: you must reformat the disc.

open my computer and CD RW and should be able to delete the songs like any normal file on your computer
You could also do this in a burning software

U can't just pick and choose what u want to erase on a CD RW! U have to erase the hole thing or nothing!

no you cannot delete the data which you have written on a cd
even though you use the rewrittable cd you can only delete the entire data on the cd, you cannot delete particular part of the cd

Yes, you can just write over your cd. That's why it's a CD-RW (re-write), the CD-W (write) you can't do this with.
