I use Head & Shoulders Smooth and Silky Shampoo with the Dry Scalp Conditioner. Is it okay to use a different shampoo, within the same brand, and a different conditioner? Help!

I also don't wash my hair everyday. I wash my hair like every other day or every two days because my hair gets a bit funky.

I would recommend not shampooing your hair everyday, but still condition everyday. Stick with the shampoos and conditioners that have aloe and vitamin e. I have Eczema, which is severe dry skin. I only shampoo two or three times a week, Ive been doing this since summer and it has dramatically improved!

i am a professional cosmetologist and i will advice u most definately to stop usoing head and shoulders--- it contains alot of wax which literally wasxes the dandruff to ur scalp so it dosent flake off--- notice it says stops the flakes does not say it ends dandruff. my best advice is to use a dep cleansing shampoo and a good conditioner-- if this is still aproblem then tea tree oil is a great herbal supplement to help with the dryness of the scalp and can be found in many shampoos--- also u can simply massage some sea breaaze astringent into the scalp after shampooing -- this will help t throughly cleanse the pores that r causing the dandruff--- let me know if this info was useful and feel free to message me with any other questions of this type--- i can always recommend brand names and stuff but was trying to avoid that--- take care -- crystal --- crylautre@yahoo.com

Maybe you're just not washing the shampoo out of your hair good enough. I used to get what i thought to be dandruff but I washed my hair more thouroughly and I have been fine since then. No dandruff.

use head and shoulders but there is an ingredient that really helps. buy some tea tree oil (100% pure) at the pharmacy. add a few drops in with your shampoo (on your palm) and rub in your hair. this can also be used with your facewash (to avoid acne or body scrum).
it really helps with dandruff and many other things and it smells and leaves you so refreshed.
i love it!
