Neighbors hit car?

I just returned home, and wasn't in the house for more than 15 minutes when I heard my car alarm go off. When I went outside, some nearby neighbors told me they heard a loud "boom", my car alarm went off, and the people across the street from me ran into their house. I looked at the car and there is a dent on the back of it. What do I do? I've never had this happen before. Please help.

File a police report and do some investigating of your own. Take plenty of photos, from different angles, and check for paint transfer on your vehicle.
