I just returned home, and wasn't in the house for more than 15 minutes when I heard my car alarm go off. When I went outside, some nearby neighbors told me they heard a loud "boom", my car alarm went off, and the people across the street from me ran into their house. I looked at the car and there is a dent on the back of it. What do I do? I've never had this happen before. Please help.

File a police report and do some investigating of your own. Take plenty of photos, from different angles, and check for paint transfer on your vehicle. If you suspect someone hit your car, snoop around that person's car for evidence of a crash. Do not touch the suspect's car at all. If you see evidence of a crash, take photos and measurements if possible. Depending on the damage and where your car was hit, you may have to pursue the case in small-claims court.

First of all, take a picture of the damage, report to police as hit and run to have it recorded. I know it can be hard to deal with it since you might know or not know the neighbors well, but sometimes its easier just to deal with the cops than the neighbors. My mom was in similar stituation except it was at her sister in law's house, mom car was parked in drive way, her sister in law's father backed into it and left, he doesn't believe that he did it but we did report it to the cops anyways since it was pretty deep dent.

i could merely have a friendly chat with them, in case you maintain it friendly they are plenty extra in all possibility to co-function. Its complicated to cost physique artwork till you will see the vehicle, because it relies upon on what has been broken and how, (some physique artwork could be repaired with little fuss and different issues will desire new panels setting up which could be costly) in case you at the instant are not likely in the process the insurance the only thank you to do it may be to take the vehicle to the storage, get a quote for the fee in writing, provide your neighbour a replica of the quote and then make certain including your neighbour that they nevertheless prefer to pay for it.
