Are you experiencing depression or some type anxiety? If you are may I suggest that you go to your family doctor who can refer you to someone or an organization that can give you the support and help you may need. I've checked your questions and I hope you will not ignore my advice .Everyone experiences distress in their life, you are not alone. I hope you have the courage to help yourself by seeking a doctor. It will the first step towards a better life for you.

a fathers distress is normal. he feels jealous, left out, not needed....
a mother in distress is way worse. she feels nervous, over-whelmed, unsufficient, worried about anything baby related.....
men freak out where women can seem completely calm (but on the inside theyre crying and ripping their hair out.)
all the two can do is depend on each other and work through it the best they can. keep a loving and comunicative relationship.
i hope i answered your question properly...i didnt really understand it.
