I need an inexpensive camera that doesnt have shutter lag. I have a minolta now and it takes 3-5 seconds for it to take a picture. Im trying to capture my kids who run around soo fast, all the images come out soo blurry. Anyone have any ideas? Something under 250.00 usd please.

Look for a camera that has fully manual mode. This is the only way you will avoid shutter lag as the camera focuses and measures light etc. Truly if shutter lag annoys you the only way to be truly happy is a Digital SLR.

Take the time to learn a little about photography as well. No matter how much lag time there is, if the camera captures the kinds in frame when it shoots, the images should be blurry. The blur is from other causes. (Slow shutter speed etc)

Get a Casio digital camera. It sounds funny but they are the fastest point and shoot cameras in the market. Look up some of the reviews on them. They also have the longest battery lifes and the brightest LCD screens. I must be sounding like a casio ad by now. I would look at the Casio Z700 its 7.2mp and it is very fast. I think Ritz sells them for 279. If you want to stay under 250 I would look at the Z70 it is a bit bigger of a camera but Camera World as it at 249.99 with a 512mb SD card and a case. That is a great deal!

The only thing I've found with great shutter speed is a Digital Canon Rebel XT. It was over 1000.00. If you can save the money the Rebel Xt rocks! There is NO lag time!! :)

Good luck. "No lag" cameras start above your price range.
