i went to read the new testament.so i started reading about all the good stuff like the holy spirt+angels of the lord so i was actualy kind of intrigued and then a couple passages crossed my eyes

Ye have heard that it was said, Thou shalt not commit adultery: but I say unto you, that every one that looketh on a woman to lust after her hath comited adultery with her already in his heart. and if thy right eye causeth the to stumble, pluck it out, and cast it from the: for it is profitable for the that one of thy members should perish, and not thy whole body be cast into hell. And if thy right hand causeth the to stumble, cut it off, and cast it from the: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not thy whole body go into hell.

then i realizd that human instinct can't be changed so its not peoples fault for thinking that way and the 2nd part isnt folowed + makes 0 sense. so i left the library and am happy with the the logic the real god gave me =)

There are books which explain the bible and what it is talking about at any given point. You might want to invest in one of those and a concordance bible which will give you reference to other passages on the same subject.
I don't know where these quotes are found, but I know three that sort of apply here. "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God."
"Pray without Ceasing." "Search the scriptures, for in them you THINK you have eternal life (emphasis mine)."

The whole point of the Bible, is to show us that we can't do it on our own, that we need Jesus. If you had read any further, maybe you would have realized that. God asks us to be perfect, to show us that we can't. That way, we can truly see that Jesus is the only way to achieve such holiness.

You're agnostic--you've settled down on a conclusion that doesn't prove anything because it didn't work hard on anything and simply confirmed that you're too lazy to find out about anything for yourself.

And the saddest thing is...you say you're happy with that "logic"?

Except for such lame questions, what else can we expect from you? Ho-hum....

i believe the gospel is fiugrative----avoid those people, places, and things that create temptation to commit adultery. every man thinks about sex, but does every man act upon sex outside the marriage? Christ is only suggesting that avoidance is the best way to prevent giving into temptation.

You're right, the thoughts are automatic, but entertaining the thoughts can easily lead to sin, and the destruction of your home (for instance if you cheat on your spouse).

Nice. You saw the light. But human instinct CAN be changed, it just takes a lot of effort and time.

There are numerous messages within the Bible that apply to everyday life. I turn it almost everyday.
