ick one of the many horrible things about testosterone. Men wanna seem macho and tough around their friends so being sweet and sentimental kinda goes out the window when they're around their buddies. they dont wanna show any weakness. And girls are guys MAJOR weakness...

Because us guys feel we must create an impression of maleness and oneness with the group. We do not like to be seen in the eyes of our peers to be anything less than fully male and one of the group. It is to do with being accepted. It is very rare that you will find a male who is man enough to act the way he really wants to act in front of his fellows. For instance most men would not be seen except dead wearing pink. However if you ever come accross a man who says to the question of you would be seen wearing pink "I'll wear what I bloody well like" then hold on to him. His worth his weight in diamonds.
Furthermore when you date you come across either young or single men. When men settle down and get older they mature. However there is a certain maleness that most men act , otherwise you lot would not be attracted to us. Accept that.

It is just the way that it is and they can say the same about us.....It is just a fact of life...Also, when you are around the same sex friends, you can talk and relate to each other...and when around the other sex, it is like you are on your best behavior...We all do it subconcously.(sorry for misspellings, my fingers are not connected to brain tonight.)

B/c they're trying to act cool and all that. Personally if my boyfriend did that, i'd leave if he didn't come around to being his funny, goofy self. fortunately, he hasn't done anything like that yet.

Not all of them do. But, the ones who do.... do it to prove their masculinity and to show that their woman isn't their boss. They are still the same man they were before you. Personally, if mine pulled that crap, I'd put him back in his place. lol. But, no.. not all of them do that only the ones who aren't as secure in the relationship. You should come before his friends.
