You're right you are gettin into the real world. And real world includes dating. You're definitely not too young. Just find someone you like and start showin signs you like them, tlakin, spending time, then ask em. And usually you'll know when the time is right to make a move. I know its scary but trust me it all pretty much just happens naturally. just go with the flow =) its fun

No it is not... I started dating when I was 13, and understand where you are coming from. When asking someone out, treat it more like a fun thing, and not a date. But ask him to go somewhere like the movies, and make it into one... For instance, in the movie theatre, get to the seats first, and put your hand where is will lay. His hand will go on top of yours and if he doesn't jerk it away, then hold hands, its not a very threatening gesture.
To overcome shyness, just think of this. It has always worked for me: you only get one first impression, so make your best of it!
To me, best time to make a move, or have a first kiss, whatever you want to call it, is when you are taking somebody home, on a walk, or snuggled on a couch watching a movie... You don't just do it, either. You gradually hint at it, and see his reaction. If it is postivie, you have the go ahead!

15 isn't young at all, and trust me, I would know, I have 6 kids. You shouldn't make a move if you don't know how the person will react because they might get mad. You ask by asking them out to a small cafe or coffee house. Not to social and that's where you'll have time to get to know the person to see if you really want to get with them. It's OK that you're shy; I was shy at your age, too.

15 was young for me, my parents thought so, and looking back, I think so too.
If you feel awkward at times, perhaps you should wait a while before you start dating.
Get to know more people and that should help you overcome your shyness, and give you a variety of options to look at for when you are ready to date.
But to ask someone out, all you have to do is casually ask them if they want to hang out somewhere. Doesn't have to be all fancy. Just act like it's nothing big.

No, I don't think so - I'm twelve and I really like a guy, and he likes me, so we have started to date like last week. I don't know about other people, but 15 is defiantly not to young - but still, it depends on your heart and passion.
