Yes, and keep in mind there can also be people who are extremely, extremely similar but be two different people, if that makes sense. It is true.

By so right, do you mean so similar that they might as well be the same person? In that case, it could be kind of boring...dating what is basically yourself. Also, with no varying interests, you will soon tire of being only around the other person, with nothing to expand your interests.

opposites attract m'dear. You have to have some differences to keep it interesting. I find that people who are extremely similar...like the boy version of you (or girl version or w/e) are better off as really really really good friends
