answer: never. but your question really is, "how do I get over feeling guilty, and I hope I don't get found out". If your gut tells you something (it is, you know) tell your friend before the x tells the friend for you - and they will, they always do. At least this way, you can tell your side of it before it gets turned into something worse for you.
