This is only a peice of an answer,but most people think of the world as the creation ,earth , heavens, universe, however the world of mankind is the question ,and that is rulled by none other than the devil called Satin.

People think God rules the world because so many people don't rule them selves. We don't take advantage that we are in a wonderful unpredictable place so we need an excuse for not searching for it's beauty. that excuse is that god rules everything and that if something happens it was god who did it and us that take no part in It. If god ruled the world would anyone go to hell? Would he really wish that kind of suffering and pain? We only have our selves and our power(look up the teachings of Don Juan and Don Carlos Castaneda).It's our fault that we don't rule our selves, or rather, expand our selves. Sorry for getting off-topic. I don't represent don Juan in any way.

Depends on which world you are talking about. The Bible calls the devil the "god of this world"
Go to www.blueletterbible.com and search that phrase. This will be very revealing.
But the Bible is very clear about the fact that God is indeed Almighty God and he reigns over the whole world.
An apparent contradiction to some. If you begin to understand this, then you can understand how God can be in control when there is so much evil and destruction in this world.
God does rule. But does he rule in the hearts of people who hate him. They choose to disobey. But he is in control and one day will judge. He is giving a period of time for men to repent and turn to Him.

It's because they think that because God created the world, he is in control of it. They wrong, as for me I believe that Satan ruled the world since Adam and Even sined and only those who do God's will are protected.

Simple...if they put aside logic, reason, and park their brains in neutral, then they can maintain this fantasy of a glorious life in paradise after they die. No matter that there is no evidence of any kind showing there a god, and plenty of evidence that there IS NO god.
To face the truth -- that there is no god, and that there's nothing after you die -- is way too scary for these people. So, they retreat into their little fantasy world of magic and superstition to avoid facing their fear of death.

Some people tend to explain anything science has not yet explained with a higher power that's omnipotent and omniscient, etc. So basically, they chalk everything up to God.
Its just a religious belief.

Because the world is His creation. He is letting man have his time to make decision and do his thing. You can see how that is going. In time God will take full control.
