it's from 2 Timothy 3:1-5 which says: "But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. For men (humans) will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, self-assuming, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, betrayers, headstrong, puffed up with pride, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God and having a form of godly devotion but proving false to its power".
Is it evident from this scripture that these things are happening today?

The times we are living in, and the condition of our world indicates that the scripture is true. But, hang around a while, the truth of the scripture will become even more evident.

Jesus is not Michael the Archangel. He is the firstborn from the dead (Colossians 1:17-22; Revelation 1:4-6,18; 1 Corinthians 15:21,23). Michael the Archangel did not die for our sins, or give himself to God for an offering. Jesus is the one who gave himself willingly to God as an offering and a sacrifice to God for the church, which is his body (Ephesians 5:2,25-32). Jesus, who is the lamb of God, redeemed us to GOD (Revelation 5:9). Michael the Archangel is not the mediator, the man Jesus our Lord is the mediator, and the anointed one of God (1 Timothy 2:5; 1 Corinthians 11:3; Acts 10:38-42). Jesus is a man that continues always and is able to save all those that come to God by him (Hebrews 7:24-28; Luke 24:39,44-48). This man that God has ordained will judge the quick and dead (Acts 17:31; Acts 10:38-42). JESUS is the Christ, not Michael the Archangel (John 20:31). Jesus who was dead, continues to live on as himself, who is Jesus (Revelation 1:18). Michael the Archangel is not the one who was dead, according to the scriptures. God raised "Jesus" from the dead (Romans 10:9), which means that Jesus himself who was dead, is alive forever more. Jesus is the only begotten son of God, not Michael the Archangel (Luke 1:30-35; John 20:31). God didn't send Michael the Archangel, God sent JESUS the Christ (John 17:1,3; 1 John 4:9). Jesus is come "in" flesh, not "into" flesh. If you want to know how Jesus originally came, just know that he came IN flesh (John 6:32,51; James 1:17). Michael the Archangel did not come "into" flesh, rather JESUS is come "in" flesh, of the lineage of David (Acts 13:22-23; Deuteronomy 18:18-19; Acts 3:13-15). There are absolutely zero prophecies stating that God would become a man, or that an angel would become a man, and take on our iniquities. It is correct that flesh and blood [mortality] cannot inherit the kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 15:50). When Jesus was resurrected, he didn't say anything about having blood, but he sure did have flesh and bones according to how he described his resurrected body, which is not mortal anymore, and did not see corruption (Luke 24:39). God did not suffer his holy one to see corruption (Psalms 16:10; Acts 2:27; Acts 13:35). God made Jesus, who is the Christ, to be sin for us, not Michael the Archangel, because he is not the Christ (Isaiah 53; 2 Corinthians 5:19-21; 1 Peter 2:19-25). God is not a man, and God doesn't change (Hosea 11:9). The scriptures do not tell us that God "cannot" become a man, but the scriptures tell us what he "won't do". God said, "I change not..." (Malachi 3:6). God is not a man, nor is he the son of man, and he "never" changed. God "cannot" lie (Numbers 23:19; Titus 1:2). The God of our Lord Jesus is our God and Father (John 20:17; John 14:28; 1 Corinthians 11:3; 1 Peter 1:3; 2 John 1:3; Malachi 2:10).

Well, the reality is the reality, regardless of the scriptures. And it's pretty obvious.
If we believe this scripture, however, we understand that, the more humanity "progresses" along these lines, the closer we are to the "last days", may God help us to be strong in faith and virtue.

Actually, in the very next verse, Paul adds: "Keep away from people like that". So he was implying that they were already living in those last days. The last days is the whole period form the resurrection to the end when He returns.

This isn't just happening today, it has ALWAYS happened because these actions are a result of human nature. The way Paul wrote it, anyone who followed him throughout history would think his words were prophetic therefore adding validity to everything else he wrote. Quite ingenious of him really.

There are a whole lot of people like that today, especially pro athletes and entertainers. It seems like people believe that the more money you have the less responsible for your actions you are.

2Ti 3:16 ALL Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,
2Ti 3:17 so that the man of God may be complete and thoroughly equipped for every good work.
