I am pretty sure you know that parents are more important. Love comes and goes. One may not be the same as your first, but your parents have been there for you through thick and thin. You have known your parents longer. And love may seem like for the moment that it is more important than your parents, but believe me when I say that once you mature, you will see that your parents are far more important than any love. Just think if you ever lost one or both of your parents and how you will feel.

If you are choosing between the two-It depends on where your priorities lie. If you have had a good relationship with your parents thus far, then I would suggest you stick with them
If they have been abusive or neglectful and your true love treats you like royalty, then, perhaps pick them.
My question is, why do you have to choose importance? If you are asking this question, I might assume that your parents and true love don't get along. Instead of trying to make such a difficult choice, why not see if you can try to bring them together. Parents can be totally judgemental and all, but if you love your true love enough to not choose them, why not see if there is a way to establish compromise and understanding? :)

What is the problem, parents not like your true love or vise versa.
Family comes first. If you are married then your wife is your family and she comes first.
The important thing is to not burn your bridges, always leave the door open. IF you choose your true love over your parents, do it in a way that lets your parents know you love them but have to do what is your heart.

both are important but as kristele said, if your parents dont treat you good and your love treats you better, you can make the love choice. but before making love choice ensure it is true love and much true than parents love.
But you have the responsibility to take care of your parents in their old age under any circumstance.
how will you do it is your problem if you get separated.
selecting a partner for marriage is your choice and not your parents. good luck

Depends on if you are living under your parents' roof or not. You are not married to your parents but you will marry your true love & possibly have a family. You will then be responsible for that family that you have created. Now you are the parents & you are important to your kids -which is a long standing relationship they need until they become adults and leave the nest & make their own family. :) The bible says "therefore a man shall leave his father & mother & be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh." You are one with your spouse not your parents.
Well said, Mike! Thank you for saying what I was trying to say! :)
Koodos to Gumby, too! :) lol at avatar name!

To get ur answer just ask only one question from urself: HOW LONG U KNOW UR LOVE OR UR PARENTS? I am quite sure u will get ur answer in no time. My dear friends, love is for life but not life is for love only. Parents give their child everything without any expectation or if they expect that is only support in their old ages. According to me Duty is far more valuable than Love bcoz it depicts our inner soul too and I really mean it bcoz i lost my first love just bcoz of this and I happy to select my parents over my love. This decision might not seems right at that time but later it really justified u. Rest on urs...

To me i would have to say that parents are more valuable. Thats because they have been in ur life forever and no matter what will always be. And no matter what you do, say, wear, or anything in the end they will be the ones there for you. If someone is "True love" he or she will NOT make you choose between the two.

Parents, true love to parents must be first. Parents were there whenever you needed them, from your birth till now, so unless parents give their permission (blessings) even the true love can become sour.
