I was wondering if anyone out there was a subscriber to ancestry.com and could help me out. I'm trying to find out where my godmother is buried and keep hitting road blocks because a) I cant get to the main branch of my public library to use their database and b)I dont have a credit card to sign up for the free trial on ancestry.com

If anyone can help me my email is simon_says_you_suck@hotmail.com

Try findagrave.com
It doesn't have everybody in every cemetery but it has quite a lot.

If you know your godmothers last name and the town, city where you think she is buried all you have to do is call the local cemeteries. cemeteries keep burial records normally filed by the deceased name and should be able to tell you the year she died, when buried, the grave number etc. That can be done at no charge to you.
You can also look up social security death index and do a search on the computer. That will give you some informaton and its free.

I don't have a membership anymore, but try www.familysearch.org. They have a lot of information and it's free.
