No I haven't. I worked as a waitress as one of my first jobs so I could never do that. At many restraunts the waitperson has to cover the tab if you dash. My sister used to tell me stories about having to watch people closely on saturday nights because that was the worst.

No. I've even gone so far as to walk across the street to my bank because I didn't have any cash and oddly enough I had left my credit card in my desk at work. I returned and paid my bill.

Never done it, never will.
Picture a single mom as your waitress. If someone D & D's on her, she has to pick up the tab - that's how most restaurants work.
I'd be far more inclined to pay for the thief's meal.

No. If you cannot afford to go out and eat stay home. Waiters and waitresses work hard for their money and when someone does this they have to pay for the meal...at least some places make them pay it. It is totally rude and obnoxious for someone to do that.

Yes...at this tavern in Kowloon, HK. A good friend and I were in this tavern and the tavern opened onto the streets that were filled with people roaming through the shops. We'd finished our dinner and drinks and was waiting to receive our ticket so we could settle it continue shopping. We sat patiently waiting for almost 30 minutes while waiters and waitresses passed us, totally ignoring us. Finally, I suggested that we immediately fade into the crowd and skip out on the bill since they still hadn't brought it to us.
So we did. The money that we saved on that dinner went on more purchases of CDs and other souvenirs that neither of us really needed.

Not on purpose, but we have forgotten to pay part of a food bill. We went back and made it right.

No because it's stealing and what's more it shows a date you're too cheap or too poor to pay for your grub. Not a good impression.

Of course! It is a teenage right of passage, of course I was a teen almost 30 years ago and they have damn near taken the fun out of everything. We got caught we paid up. Get caught today you will most likely get cuffed and stuffed.
