I'm wiccan but i don't really choose to worship deities, i believe in a goddess and a god but that alone, so if i choose to not worship a set of deities does that make me something else?

Wicca is a spirituality. Because of that, it implies that there is Deity involved. Having a "god and goddess" belief qualifies. We do not tell you what Deity to work with, that is your choice. And if you want to acknowledge a generic "god and goddess", you are in keeping with the duality of Deity as reflected in the duality of nature part of Wiccan dogma. I will suggest, however, that eventually you will find that your generic "god and goddess" will make their identity known to you, and you will end up giving them names.

Worship is not the purpose of Wicca. It is more a partnership with your Deity(s), working to bring about the betterment of yourself on a physical, emotional and spiritual level and working together to protect and preserve the earth and all that makes up the earth.

No, many Wiccans do not believe in a specific deity, choosing instead to focus on nature and the cycles of life. You said that you believe in a Goddess and a God; even without naming Them, believing in Them is accepting Them as deities.

Whether or not you are Wiccan depends largely upon whom you ask. For example, unless you are an initiated Gardnerian, many Gardnerians will say that you are not Wiccan. However, the majority of Wiccans are not Gardnerians. For me, I believe that anyone who follows the doctrines of Wicca, is Wiccan.

A Witch without a deities is completely without protection. That is like streaking through an NFL stadium on game day. Don't you know the Christians will get you. Haven't you ever heard. Suffer not a Witch to live. You need protection believe me. I'm not trying to scare you or anything. Just don't participate in any bonfires. Anything could happen. Wow you are a brave one. xx

Many of the main sects of Wicca worship only the Goddess and the God. There are some paths that subscribe to only certain pantheons. No, it does make you something else.

As I understand it, the Wiccan faith is fairly open. I don't think you HAVE to worship and specifice set of deities.
