My roommates and I are terrified by our neighbors, they scream and yell throughout the night, the cops show up all the time and today it appeared that their apartment was broken into. I want to talk to a manager about it, however I don't want to talk to a manager if they will tell our neighbors that it's us that have a problem with them because we think it might cause more trouble. Is there any law or anyway I can be assured they won't say anything because it's not fun living in an environment you are terrified at. Thank you

I'm sure if the police have been to their apartment the manager is already aware of the problem. We had a problem with some upstairs neighbors. They had 5 kids and it sounded like elephants running through the house, and the boys would wrestle and it made my computer rattle. We were not the only people to complain so when the apartment manager sent them a letter he wrote in it that there had been several complaints from various neighbors so they were not aware of who complained.

The manager should not give the name of anyone who has registered a complaint to him/her. If you do not feel comfortable speaking to the manager - you have no option but to move - unless you have a lease and then I would definitely complain.

Express this concern to the manager. If you have his / her word and they have any sense about themselves they won't let the neigbors know who said something. Also, if they are that obvious with the racket and frequent police visits, they will never know it was you. I'm sure others notice this as well.

i would say something to the manager because im sure the property owners would like to hear about illegal activities etc going on in there apartment. i would just tell the manager that you don't want them to know that you were the one who said something. tell him that you are scared they will try and hurt you guys or soemething.
