There was a man I dated for about a year and I still liked him for a year after that. He ended the relationship by never calling me and it hurt my feelings. I even sent him an instant message one night asking him if he still loved me. I was so embarrassed because he said no and he had no feelings for me anymore. The thing that finally got me over him was time and thinking about all the things he did that I could not stand. Really I had thought about breaking up with him for he last few months we were apart, but I loved him and wanted to make it work out. However, he did not love me enough to make it work out and I always tried to think about that when I was sad. Over time I realized I did not want to date or marry and man like this person and I even started to think about the kind of things that I wanted in my next relationship. For example, he never liked the kind of movies that I liked to watch and we never went to see a movie I really liked. He never really found me attractive and I decided in my next relationship that would like to find a man who did. Thinking about how the relationship did not work finally helped me to get over him. I hope that your heart heals and you are able to forget him in your own time :)

You will never forget but the pain will slowly go away with time. You need to occupy your time with things that are really good for you like listening to Godly music, praying, reading Gods word and fellow shipping with Godly people. Let God fill that deep hole that only he can fill.

I've been in the same boat with a girl before. You have to competely cut yourself off from this guy. Don't talk or communicate with him in any way possible. If you have his screenname, delete it. If you have his number in your cell, get rid of it. Eventually you'll get over him, especially if you find another guy.

Get rid of everything that reminds you of him like: music, pictures, letters, cards, etc. EVERYTHING. It's hard to do, but it's the only way, and also try to stay busy most of the time. You'll think of him as just another person later.
