Somebody's heart is going to get broken, that's inevitable. But it is best that the guy breaks up with your friend, because otherwise you are also contributing to hurting her by being with this guy behind her back. She may get hurt, and you might go through a rough patch in your friendship, but all you have to remember is if this will be better in the long run. You have to decide whether you want to go out with this guy who you love though, because if he goes behind your friend's back to be with you, will he turn your love into a sham and be with somebody else at the same time? He may just not be a trustworthy guy, so you should watch out for this.

Wake Up Girlfriend! if your mother "didn't like him", and made you break up with him, it is obvious it didn't bother him much, dating your friend. Give your head a "shake"! He is playing "both" of you! Move on and never Look Back! Your young, and there are plenty of fish in the sea. He is only saying "words", and if you make a mistake and believe him, you will be the looser, because he will do to you what he is doing right now to "some other" unsuspecting "girl"! - Run don't walk - Merry Christmas.

well. somebody is likely to get hurt. this is life. sorry.
the longer you wait-- the worse the hurt.
if I were you-- I would go to your best friend with the guy-- and tell her togather, and make her understand that you both still love her-- but that you guys want to go out togather-- lol maybe she can share a little to ease the transition-- if nessicary.

Welcome to life my friend, there is no easy solution. If you don't want to break her hart, then don't go out with the guy. Rule #1 of friendship, don't date your friends ex.
Let time pass and see if she is cool with the idea, otherwise it's going to be a very messy ordeal.

if he liked you and you two had history why would he get with your best friend in the first place?
this guy is not trustworthy and doesn't have any balls. he's going to play the both of you so don't be his fool. tell your homegirl what's going on and drop this guy. he is not worth it.

You can't get through it without any hearts broken but no body will die. It just hurts.
If he really cares for you he will chose you and let her know. If he doesn't then he just wants you both.
Good luck

First of all, he is not good boyfriend material. If, he was a good bf he would not play with his gf emotions. He is playing the both of you.
But if you decide to go with him, you will ruin your friendship ( and he is not worth it.
Good Luck !!!
