See 2Ch 30;22 & Dan 9:4 & Rom 10:10
Yes I believe you can but also believe in the beautiful peace gained via the sacrement of penance.
Also see Matthew 18:18 and John 20:20-23.
So why don't you do both, ie in your home privacy and in church when you can get there.
May the peace of Jesus our Lord, Friend and Saviour be with you.

First of all, for a person to make a good confession, they have to be sincerely sorry for their sins, they have to be sincere in their desire to never commit the same sin again, and they have to do the penance that has been given to them. A priest cannot forgive the sin of murder -- for that, a person has to go to the bishop. And the bishop is going to make the murderer turn him/herself into the authorities, which means jail time. Now, you and I are not the judges of this fellow's heart. Maybe he is really, really sorry about the murders and thus, the Lord would show him mercy. Maybe the Lord is leading him to a place where he can stop committing those deadly sins and stop breaking the commandments. Or maybe not. God isn't stupid. He's perfectly merciful, but He's not going to let an evil person into heaven on a loophole.

Yes,there is only one mediator between God and man,the man Christ Jesus. This is a scripture, but I am not sure which one.I was a catholic,as a child, someone told me this and showed it to me as well.God is ever present to you, just confess whenever you want.Even where ever,I do it in my car,in bed,in the bathroom,on a walk, running, doing laundry, washing dishes. He wants us all the time. You be blessed and greatly loved

Absolutely, confess your sins and trust in Jesus alone, the Bible says that He suffered ONCE and for all for our sin. Their is no other mediator available or necessary. Trust Jesus.

I would recommend going to an outside parish if you are afraid that your priest may be affected and know it is you. It is necessary to go to a priest to gain absolution and a way to pay for your sin.

I'm not Catholic, but that's how I have always confessed. Jesus is your mediator, according to scripture.

You can confess to GOD any where any time.. Going to confession does not absolve your sin.. Only GOD can do that..
