In 1996, what percentage of Americans, according to the Harris Poll, absolutely believed in God? I don't want wikipedia sources, I don't want internet research of any form, and I don't want cut & paste documents. This is solely for my enjoyment and your education.

i just want to let you know that just because someone doesn't know the answer to this question doesn't mean they have lack of education, i would expect someone of "your kind" to know that. but anyway i'm gonna guess, i will say 76%

Well, lets test to see if I am educated:

let f be an homogenous of degree t function and X be a vector of variables indexed to the set of natural numbers.

t*f(X)=sum of (x(i)*del f/del x(i))

Sorry I lack the Greek letters for partial derivatives.

So let us presume I am educated since I can in fact not only read that, but I use it regularly.

Now, without researching on the Net, and presuming I do not subscribe to Harris Poll, which I do not, I would have to be able to infer without data the correct answer.

Since that would be a function of psychic abilities rather than intellectual capabilities I fail to see the point.

What does amaze me is that I bothered answering at all, but your question seemed really weird.

I learned long ago, while working on university degrees, that it is often better for one to look up unimportant trivia in a book than clutter one's mind with garbage that will be mostly irrelevant for one's needs.

If I really need to know, I can look it up! That's why they invented books and Wikipedia.

I'd guess about 80% say this. But, polls are not always accurate. This is a subject that people will too often say what they think they are suppose to say-suppose to believe.

So, your criteria for "being educated" rests on knowing some random bit of religious trivia having soley to do with American beleif?

sorry, I honestly don't know, but since then I have definately observed a decrease in religious vigor. I hope that people will begin to embrace their faiths again; if you don't stand up for something you'll fall for anything.

Not many, no one really keeps the traditions of Jesus. Only the traditions of man.
