yes, they condone violence and the killing of innocent people. so they don't present the true actions of islam.

I would be more inclined to believe it absent reports of Muslims dancing in the streets to celebrate the 9/11 events. Or, if Muslims did a more visible job of denouncing terrorism. Or, if Muslims handed Osama bin Laden over to US authorities for prosecution. Islam has a lot of work to do to clean up this mess.

What qaeda is doing is true islam eg jihad there prophet mohammad & the koran commands it
"Let those (believers) who sell the life of this world for the hereafter fight in the cause of allah, and whoso fights in the cause of allah, and is killed or gets victory, we shall bestow on him a great reward" (surah 4:74)
there are over 100 other verses in the koran just like the one above commanding jihad to get to paradise & to kill in the name of islam.& muslims must do it as the koran states:
"jihad (holy fighting in allah's cause) is ordained for you (muslims) though you dislike it, and it may be that you dislike a thing which is good for you and that you like a thing which is bad for you, allah knows but you do not know" (surah 2:216)
Look at at the history of islam's prophet mohummad he killed anyone who went against him & this still happens to day in muslim countries if you go against islam it means death, Saudia Arabia has the most beheadings per year than in other country in the world.

I would like to believe that. We need more Muslims to show some courage and really oppose terrorism. I know that many do, but not enough.

Al-Qaeda misquotes Islam for their own purposes.
