Consistancy is so important. Puppies don't have control of their little bladders until they are a few months old. As soon as the puppy wakes up, gets out of the crate, and usually within a half an hour after eating...put him outside. Feed him the same times every day and don't leave his water dish out all of the time. Praise him like crazy when he does his business outside and you'll start seeing results in no time!

Puppies don't have any control over their bladder until 6 months, or more. If he is kenneled at night, you may want to get up once or twice and put him out to do his thing. And, when you first wake up in the morning, make it the first thing you do. Dog's don't like to live where they defecate, he'll begin to learn. You say you're kenneling him while you're at work. That, is a long time for anything not to relieve itself. You will have the occasional accident, it takes time. But, not that much, have some patience before you put him out. Take him out, first thing when you get home. And, don't scold him should he go in the kennel. That only makes him afraid of you, he doesn't know that you're mad about his excrement's. He only associates you coming home with a bad experience. Make sure he goes out often. A walk is 90 percent of the human/dog relationship. It's the time when you show him who's the leader by example and setting boundaries and limitations. A 20-30 minute walk is good for the both of you. He will want to do whatever you want, once you establish trust. This all may sound crazy, but it's what I've learned from handling dogs for many years. Good luck.

ok there your doggy is a puppy so therefore you can't expect a puppy to hold it the whole time you are at work. how old is puppy? if say puppy is 3 months old then you add 1 to his/her age which means they can hold it for 4 hours, u need to find someone to take your puppy out while you are at work or just deal with the mess and clean it up without complaint and don't put your little booger in the snow that would be cruel

I know its frustrating. Is his crate too big? Because if it has more space than he needs, he will use one side for potty business. The crate should only be big enough for him to turn around and lay down in. When you have days off, tie his leash to your belt, have that booger stuck to you all day. Whenever he looks like he might have an accident, run outside. If you keep that up for about 2 weeks, he should get the idea. Make sure you give him a treat outside right after he does his business.

Have a trainer house train your dog. Puppies take time to build up bladder and bowel control. They aren't like cats that litter box train quickly. For each month old that your puppy is, on average, one hr per mo. of age is how long you can expect your puppy to "hold it" when you are training him.
You have a dirty kennel when you come home because the puppy is unable to hold his bladder and/or bowels. You want to put him to live outside in the snow? Please don't do that. Find your dog a good home and wait until you can afford a trainer or have the time to properly train your dog yourself. Why should your dog suffer? You could kill your dog putting him out in the snow.

Find a spot outside that you want to designate as you puppy's potty spot. (Like a patch of sand or something) Get some of your puppy's poop and put it on the potty spot. When you put your pup outside he will probably want to potty where things smell familiar. Or try litter box training him.
Good luck!

well maybe becuase he is too young to get trained yet. You should be a little more patient and maybe reward him time to time. So that way it would be easier. Well you should maybe put newpaper on the bottom of the kennel too. so it would be easier to clean or a towel or something.

a million. Take it outdoors. 2. purchase doggy pads till you may take it outdoors if for some reason some regulation prevents you from taking it outdoors. 3. do not rub the doggy's nostril in it. A doggy won't be able to comprehend what this implies, and it could inspire them to devour poop. in case you witness the doggy going interior the abode, scold them as they are going and take them the two outdoors or to the doggy pad. in case you in uncomplicated terms locate it after the reality, sparkling it up and save a greater effective eye on your doggy till it quite is knowledgeable.
